How do you personalize a gift?

Gifts can be customized in many ways – traditional diamond drag engraving, laser engraving, chemical etch, sublimation, digital printing, and more. At Dell Awards, we specialize in laser engraving and digital printing to achieve the high quality our customers have come to expect. The process of laser engraving involves a machine that uses a laser frequency moderated by power and speed to cut through various materials leaving an engraved mark or image. This process allows for a very high level of detail and near unlimited choice of typestyles and images as well as the ability to create highly unique and distinctive designs. Digital printing, either separately or along with laser engraving allows the use of full color personalization.

What materials work best for personalizing gifts?

Almost any material can be personalized. Laser engraving works best with gifts made from organic materials. The laser process works exceptionally well with wood, acrylic, marble, glass, crystal, plastic, color coated metals, leatherette, fabric, and more. Digital printing is available on all of the same materials plus paper and card stock products. In most cases the gift can be engraved or printed directly onto the item. Other times a personalized plate may be attached. Both flat and cylindrical gifts can be customized with our processes.

How much does a personalized gift cost?

When you select your personalized gift from Dell Awards, laser engraving is free! Any text including names and messages are included in the price of your gift selection. Logos and images are also free when you supply acceptable quality artwork. Most gifts are also available without personalization if desired. Just contact us to let us know what you need. Digital printing, in most cases, is available for an additional $20.00 charge. Any supplied artwork or logo will be evaluated for quality. Vector images work best.
